Starting at the high notes of Alpha One Signature Edition lineup we have the S10 Tweeter that delivers detailed and smooth high frequencies thanks to the textile dome combined with ferrofluid voice coil cooling and damping. It clearly and accurately reproduces every bell and whistle without any harshness.

Believe it or not we went through around a dozen ever so slightly different prototypes to arrive at exactly the kind of sound that we were looking for. Most of the time the changes were undetectable to measurement equipment and that's why the final evaluations were always conducted on our R&D BMW's using the best measurement equipment - human ears.

It's available in 3 mounting versions required for various BMW installation locations.

Midrange speakers are the most important speakers in any audio system as they cover sound frequencies to which the human ear is the most discerning. Back in the day your ears had to be perfectly attuned to being able to tell when a tiger was sneaking up on you in the jungle as your survival depended on it. Instrumentals and vocals predominantly come out of mids and that's exactly why we used carbon fiber cones and dust caps on the Signature Edition Midrange.

For extra power handling we utilized a 32mm diameter voice coil with a matching neodymium magnet. Continued in S45 as they're the same speaker with a different mounting basket.

Hidden behind the carbon cone of the S45 you'll find a ventilated voice coil gap and a Faraday's ring (also called a copper shorting ring). The former provides increased heat dissipation and air compression relief from behind the cones dust cap, decreasing turbulent airflow and aiding in distortion reduction. The latter linearizes the magnetic field in the voice coil gap.

We left no stone unturned to achieve the best possible performance out of these 4" midranges as they're the heavy lifters in every BMW sound system. Once DSP tuned with one of our Alpha One Amplifiers we're able to re-create a soundstage which extends past your BMW's side windows and windshield in a way seemingly defying physics. That's exactly the reason for which we're hooked on delivering exceptional audio systems.

Alpha One Signature Edition speakers could not sound like they do without them. Every midrange and tweeter pair including the coaxial S45C's are delivered with a tailor designed second order passive crossover. The crossover precisely divides frequencies between the midrange and tweeter cutting it off with a 12 dB slope at 4.8 kHz and blending it to the tweeter seamlessly.

Thanks to an impedance linearization section in the crossover, both tweeter and midrange phases correspond to each other in a perfectly linear manner. That's what makes all the instruments and vocals pop in unison creating a 3D soundstage like no other. Every component used in the Signature Passive Crossover has been carefully selected and no cost was spared using only the best quality copper air coil inductors, MKP capacitors and polystyrene bypass capacitors to enhance tweeter performance.

In more than a few BMW, MINI and SUPRA audio system applications there is a need for coaxial speakers when you want full frequency response and there is no factory spot for a tweeter. That's where the S45C steps in.

We combined the S10 tweeter with a S45 midrange allowing us to utilize the passive crossovers for optimal performance just like with separate component versions. It will still be beneficial to install separate mids and tweeters in the front doors whenever possible but in some cases it's just not possible without replacing a whole door panel.

Signature Edition Woofers ensure smooth, spot-on delivery of bass without making it obtrusive. Thanks to its advanced design, you also won't experience any artificial coloring of the lows.

Their 70W RMS/140W MAX power handling combined with high sensitivity allow them to deliver bass in quantity and quality for Hip Hop and Jazz Trio aficionados alike. In fact they pound so hard and clean, that we won't allow you to order the SUB10 with them as it would be pointless. You'll just have to wait for the SUB12 Signature Edition.
